If you keep getting sent .docx files and can’t open them in Word 2004, Microsoft have a free converter available here:

Thanks for picking that up – Beeper Desktop is for Mac plus they have a phone version.
You don’t say if this Beeper app is for Mac or for iOS/iPadOS, and I can’t really tell by looking…
THis is so handy – still using it in 2026!
Converter gives me an error message saying that there is not enough file space to convert. Suggestions ?
