We all loved the Mac vs PC ads, when Apple were taking the mickey out of PCs. Well the tables have turned with a clever set of ads from Samsung. You can see them all on Samsung’s Youtube channel here, but my favourite is this one…

I am a diehard Mac fanatic. But only because Apple is the best. So I am the worst kind of fan. I will switch if something better comes along. At Christmas time I had a play with my cousin’s Samsung Galaxy S6. It was very nice. It’s the first time I’ve considered switching to Android. I know I am flirting with the enemy here but I was wondering whether it might be time to do a series on switching from iOS to Android? I reached out to Samsung. Read on to see how they responded!
In this post I posted some drivers for the Samsung D900 mobile phone. A lot of people contacted me asking how I wrote them. Well it was a bit of a fudge really. All I did was grab the Samsung D900i phone driver, and change every occurrence of D900i to D900!
I also did a version for the Optus D736 here and it seemed to work. Here’s how I did it. Continue reading 〉

The phones resolution is 320×240, which I think is similar to an ipod. I use Handbrake to encode DVD’s, you can also use these settings to export from Quicktime pro, but Handbrake is free. I know this is a little of the ‘Macintosh’ topic but I thought I’d post it anyway. Continue reading 〉
I just got a Samsung SGH D900i mobile phone but it doesn’t sync address book contacts across bluetooth or USB with isync becasue isync only syncs with the D900.
I modified the isync plugin and now it’s working!
Here’s how to get it going… and after some comments I also added a version for the samsung G600 mobile phone.
There’s also a version for Optus Bird phones here.

Well it seems that OSX won’t recognise any Samsung phones. A bit disappointing given their TV adds on how Macintosh is friendly with everything! I rang Samsung and they said ‘we don’t support macintosh’
So to get my samsung D900i working on OSX I had to do this: (I’m not suggesting you do it for whatever reasons like you might sue me if it doesn’t work, but it worked for me).
