The latest iMovie has a minor bug in it. The upload to Vimeo button may not work. The way to fix this is to choose ‘Share:File…’ instead of ‘Share:Vimeo…’ from the File Menu.

Save your movie as a file.

LargeThen upload your movie to Vimeo using the Vimeo website.

This option to upload directly to video from iMovie does not work in the latest iMovie. Instead, choose ‘File…’ to save the video then upload it to Vimeo manually.

The problem seems to be that iMovie tries to upload the movie as a .mov file but Vimeo wants an mp4 file.

I have done this – download the imovie video as Mp4 to my mac downloads, then go to vimeo, select upload file and go to my downloads and select the imovie file – but it still just loads loads loads then cancels. But some of my imovie videos ARE uploading. It is only some that don’t. I can’t figure out why.
