If you hold down the APPLE (COMMAND) key while you click on an icon in the menu bar, you can move it.
Every now and then I add an extra icon to my menubar. Usually there’s a setting somewhere in ‘System Preferences’ that says ‘Show icon ion Menubar’ and I turn it on. If you are anything like me, when it comes time to removing the icon it can be hard to remember where the setting was. For example I don’t use wi-fi anymore on my iMac. But how to I remove the little wi-fi menu item?
Thankfully, you don’t need to remember where the ‘show icon in menu bar’ setting was. Just hold down the APPLE (COMMAND) key, click on the icon in the menu bar, and you can move it.
If you move it down below the menu bar, it disappears in a puff of smoke!
